“A civilization is great when their elders plant trees under whose shade they will not sit.” Anonymous Greek philosopher 500 BCE

I will not live to enjoy all the benefits of what I propose for transit here in Northwest Arkansas. I may see some of it. But in the end, it won’t matter to me. I am not doing this for myself. I am working on transit for the future. Your future. I am doing this for my kids. I am doing this for yours.

I am part of the last generation who will die in their beds. I’m afraid our children will die choking in the dust. So I work to stop poisoning our atmosphere. To stop crippling our economy. To break the hold a fossil fuel economy has on our country. To start to build back better. To start to protect clear blue skies, and Ozark mountain streams. To start a new future of growth, and opportunity.

Because that is what I want for you. I want the best for you. It is what I have to give you.
